Richmond Paynter – Developer

Richmond Paynter, Christchurch based Director of the Paynter Corporation, has been a driving force behind commercial and residential development in New Zealand and Australia for more than 20 years. The Bendemeer development follows on from a number of other high profile, entrepreneurial and all-encompassing developments undertaken under Paynter’s guidance. The company was publicly listed in 1986.

Richmond Paynter’s vision, attention to detail, industry knowledge and contacts, and passion in ensuring that every project under his jurisdiction is a testament to the company name and ethos are the traits that give his company the edge in bringing visionary projects to fruition.

Ross Allan – Developer

Prior to entering the NZ property market in 2002 as an investor and niche developer, Ross enjoyed a 25- year career in the Australasian information technology industry. His many achievements included the establishment of Dell in NZ in 1996, growing it to achieve number one status in the corporate and government markets within a five- year period.

In 2003 he purchased Bendemeer Estate along with business partner Richmond Paynter. It is testimony to his inherent vision and passionate interest in lifestyle property that the land is now considered to be the most prestigious of its type in the country.

Ross resides in Queenstown with his family.

Susie Paynter - Interior Designer

Susie Paynter, founder and Director of Paynter Design, is widely recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading interior designers. During the 20 years Susie Paynter has been involved in interior design projects, she has received many national and international accolades and awards. In 1997 and 2006 she was nominated as one of only 30 worldwide finalists in the prestigious Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award. 

Assisted by her daughter and business partner Teassa, Susie Paynter brings a striking originality to her installations at Bendemeer, managing all aspects of interior design projects, from concept through to delivery of the entire interior package.
